Gideon Ramsay is so far in the closet he should be a talking faun.

A talented, mercurial, and often selfish man, Gideon has everything he should want in life. Fame, money, acting awards – he has it all. Everything but honesty. At the advice of his agent, Gideon has concealed his sexuality for years. But it’s starting to get harder to hide, and his increasingly wild behaviour is threatening to destroy his career.

Then he’s laid low by a serious illness and into his life comes Eli Jones. Eli is everything that Gideon can’t understand. He’s sunny tempered, friendly, and optimistic. Even worse, he’s unaffected by grumpiness and sarcasm, which forms ninety percent of Gideon’s body weight. And now Gideon is trapped with him without any recourse to the drugs and alcohol that have previously eased his way through awkward situations.

However, as Gideon gets to know the other man, he finds himself wildly attracted to his lazy smiles and warm, scruffy charm that seem to fill a hole inside Gideon that’s been empty for a long time. Will he give in to this incomprehensible attraction when it could mean the end of everything that he’s worked for?

From the bestselling author of the Mixed Messages series comes a story about a man who needs to realize that being true to yourself is really just a form of finding home.

This is the third book in the Finding Home series but it can be read as a standalone.

Wow…I really loved this book. I might even love it a smidge more than “Oz“, which is saying something because I really liked Oz a lot. Gideon though, he rocked my world and so did his love interest Eli. They were absolutely awesome together. I laughed my ass off, fanned myself when things got hot, and I even cried some little tears. Sounds perfect right !! gif

Let me start out by saying that unlike a lot of others, I didn’t blame Gideon for his behavior in “Milo“. For me, it was actually the other way around and I blamed (and maybe I still do) Milo for taking what was not his to take. I don’t that it was just a “friends with benefits” deal between Niall and Gideon… There is an unwritten rule… you don’t go where your sibling has gone and Gideon was there first so…

So I went into this book completely open. I had no grudge against Gideon and I was sure, that even though his behavior was a tad bit harsh, he had his reasons… and boy does he. He actually made me feel even sorrier for him… I knew there was a reason I loved him from the start 😉 are wonderful gif

Gideon is not in the best of places when this book opens, and you will get to know exactly why. I felt a bit heartbroken about his sadness. Thankfully he is not alone and even though Milo and Niall are not my favorites, they do love Gideon and they do want what is best for him. His manager Frankie, however, is a real piece of work. I don’t really have any nice words to say about him. He is responsible for introducing Gideon to the best thing to ever happen to him though… Eli !!

Eli was absolutely wonderful. I loved every single thing about him. He reminded me of Oz so much but for some reason… I loved him even more..can you believe that !!??

Eli is a nurse hired to look after Gideon on his way back to Engeland and to “keep him away from coke and twinks” …quoting Milo here 9f01372377900d9203bc4efe48eb1659

Eli was absolutely perfect for Gideon. He brought light back into his life and Gideon finally just got to be… I think the best part of this book was watching Gideon grow and coming into himself

This author has once again blown me away and I can’t wait for more !!

Highly recommended 😉

“Round the block?” he intones in a gloomy voice.

I nod. “Yes, please.”

The car moves off slowly. He examines my face in the mirror. “You okay, sir?”

I look up, surprised. “Of course,” I say abruptly. Then I ask, “Why?”

He shrugs, returning his attention to the road. “You don’t look so good, Mr Ramsay.”

“Oh Russ, you old charmer, you,” I drawl, slugging some more tequila. “What’s with the ‘sir’ and ‘Mr Ramsay’ business anyway?”

He ignores the question. He’s more passive-aggressive than Taylor Swift. “You haven’t eaten properly for a few days now,” he says instead in a concerned voice.

“I have eaten,” I say crossly.

“Tequila and vodka aren’t any of the major food groups.”

I shrug. “I had a Pop-Tart this morning.”

“You had that yesterday and very charmingly regurgitated it into a jasmine bush earlier on.”

“I’m fine,” I say dismissively.

“I surely hope you are,” he says wryly. “Because you’ve got your hands full tonight.”

I shake my head, thinking of the two men I’m about to get into bed with and looking down at my very disinterested cock. “Russ, you’d need a medium and a séance to bring my dick back to life tonight.”

He laughs loudly and then sobers. “Maybe you should call it a night then. Go to bed on your own for a change, sir.”

“Okay, Nanny McPhee. And maybe I’d be better with a box of tissues and a wi-fi connection.” I sigh. “Actually, that sounds a lot quieter.” I stare blearily at the back of his grey head. “I hope you also know that tagging the word sir on the end of a sentence doesn’t make it any less bossy.”

Why We Fight, by T.J. Klune (At First Sight #4)

Title: Why We Fight
Series: At First Sight #4
Author: T.J. Klune
Genre: Gay Romance
Release date: May 14th, 2019
Rating: 5 stars 5

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Corey Ellis sure doesn’t. Oh, everyone around him seems to have found their happy ending, but he’s far too busy to worry about such things. He’ll have plenty of time for romance after he survives his last summer before graduation. So what if he can’t get his former professor, Jeremy Olsen, out of his head? It’s just hero worship. And that’s the way it should stay.

Except that this summer, bigender Corey—aka Kori—is interning at Phoenix House, a LGBTQI youth center that recently hired an interim director. And because life is extraordinarily unfair, the director just so happens to be a certain former professor, now current boss.

Desperate to keep things professional as he and Jeremy grow closer, Corey makes a major mistake: he turns to his friends, Paul Auster and Sanford Stewart, for help.

But Paul and Sandy have some ideas of their own.

Set in the summer of 2016, Why We Fight is a celebration of queer life and being true to oneself… no matter the cost.

This is the fourth book in the “At First Sight” series and I have loved each and every single one. They make me so freaking happy !!!! Now I first fell deeply in love with Corey/Kori when I first met them in “The Art of Breathing“, and I am so glad I finally got to read their story….and what a great story it was fcc37b1805a49c13a3f7d3d50b64ed47

awesome story gif - Google zoeken

Corey/Kori is bigender and biracial, which unfortunately means that life hasn’t always been the easiest for them. That said…I think they turned out pretty awesome. I love seeing that they weren’t too bitter about what happened in the past.

Apparently, Corey/Kori have been crushing on their former college professor Jeremy Olsen, who turned out to be Robert’s son (Charlie’s man). And guess who is gonna be his temporary boss for his summer job at the LGBTQ center ?? That’s right…Jeremy 9f01372377900d9203bc4efe48eb1659

thats right gif - Google zoeken

How will Corey/Kori ever be able to work under him (pun intended). They are sure that Jeremy doesn’t feel the same, but when they are proven wrong, how will they keep their hands off each other and stay professional.

With Paul and Sandy’s noses all up in their business things are bound to get weird…and crazy funny. I especially loved the parts with “Johnny Depp” in them !!

funny parrot gif - Google zoeken

I absolutely laughed my ass off reading this one, though there were also times when I got a bit choked up. No Wookie Cry Face though…

I could have done with a bit more Ty, since he is still one of my faves, but hey we can’t always get everything we want.

As all good things go, this series has come to an end and I have a bit of a double feeling about that. I love how they all got their stories and their HEA, but I don’t know if I am ready to say goodbye.

Thank god for re-reads !!!

Fierce Obsessions by Suzanne Wright (The Phoenix Pack #6)

Title: Fierce Obsessions
Series: The Phoenix Pack #6
Author: Suzanne Wright
Genre: Fantasy Romance
Published:  June 13th, 2017
Page Count: 306 pages
Rating: 5 stars 5

When raven shifter Riley Porter was given sanctuary by the Phoenix Pack, she let them believe she had left her flock. Reluctant to divulge the secrets of her past, she was still embraced as family. Only Tao Lukas, the protective and passionate Head Enforcer of the pack, was resistant to the enigmatic shifter. Until Riley started to arouse in him something other than suspicion.

Tao doesn’t trust lone shifters, especially ones so guarded—and tempting. But the sexual tension between them is making them both come undone, and vulnerable to more than desire. All Tao wants is for Riley to stay with him and to trust him with the truth of her past.

As Riley’s mysteries come to light, so does a danger that threatens not only her life but the safety of the entire pack. For Tao, keeping Riley safe means keeping her close—forever—as his mate.

As some of you know, I don’t read as many MF books as I used to anymore. That’s because I am pretty picky when it comes to them.  I will always read a book written by Suzanne Wright though because she has always been one of my favorite MF authors. I have read almost all her books and I will continue to do so in the future. What can I say…I am a huge fan !!!

superhero-movie-gifs-incredibles-animated-disney-gifs.gif (500×208)

I have known Tao, since he was introduced in the first book of the Phoenix series. I have always wanted to know more about the Head Enforcer of the Phoenix pack.

FOTO BEWERKEN - makkelijk online je foto's bewerken of aanpassen:  latest (500×564)

Riley, a raven shifter, has only recently (previous book) moved to the Phoenix pack. She was taken in by the pack because she came with two young shifter children, who were given sanctuary by the pack.

blue-hair.jpg (450×450):  tumblr_nt6tiwiCjG1qbp4fzo1_500.gif (500×281)

These didn’t start off on the right foot. Tao strongly distrusts strangers, especially lone shifters and he didn’t want Riley anywhere near his pack. That doesn’t mean he didn’t think she was hot though.

After Riley has spent some time with the pack, Tao slowly starts to trust her and even like her….he was already very attracted to her, so now…he just needs to make a move…which is exactly what he does.

ba631a34db3caac6f26a23acb57f0a43 (480×232)

Riley loves nothing more than antagonizing Tao. It brings her and her raven much pleasure. She can’t deny being very attracted to the man though…So once the ice is broken and Tao suggests they take things a bit further, Riley figures…why the hell not. It’s not like it’s anything serious…….

I really liked Riley. It is always very hard for me to like a heroine, which is why I am such a big fan of this series and the other ones written by this author. She writes about very strong females, who don’t take shit from anyone. Riley was funny and kickass.

“You better hope you are never on fire, Tao, because I’m more likely to relax and pull out some marshmallows than to help you.”

Everyone who has read Suzanne Wright’s books, knows that they are extremely HOT. This one was no exception. I was, as usual, blushing my way through this one.

“I’ll fuck you in every way I can have you. And then I’ll do it again and again.”

giphy.gif (500×281)

There is a whole background story going on, about Riley’s former flock but I don’t want to spoiler the whole book. It’s best to read it for yourself. These books can be read as stand alone’s, though you wouldn’t know all the side-characters (and there are plenty), so I would advise reading the whole series. You won’t be sorry 😉

I myself hope there will be plenty more books in this series and all the others. No one does shifters, vampires and demons like Suzanne Wright does 😉

Lips-PNG-File Synopsis

Kill Switch, an all-new standalone dark romantic suspense by Penelope Douglas.

Sending him to prison was the worst thing I could’ve done. It didn’t matter that he did the crime or that I wished he was dead. Perhaps I thought I’d have time to disappear before he got out or he’d cool off in jail and be anything but the horror he was.

But I was wrong. Three years came and went too fast, and now he’s anything but calm. Prison only gave him time to plan. And while I anticipated his vengeance, I didn’t expect this.

He doesn’t want to make me hurt. He wants to make everything hurt.

First thing’s first. Get rid of her daddy. He told them I forced her. He told them his little girl was a victim, but I was a kid, too, and she wanted it just as much as I did.

Step two… Give her, her sister, and her mother nowhere to run and no fuel to escape. The Ashby women are alone now and desperate for a knight in shining armor.

But that’s not what’s coming.

No, it’s time I listened to my father and took control of my future. It’s time I showed them all—my family, her family, my friends—that I will never change and that I have no other ambition than to be the nightmare of their lives.

Starting with her.

She’ll be so scared, she won’t even be safe in her own head by the time I’m done with her. And the best part is I won’t have to break into her home to do it.

As the new man of the house I have all the keys.

Kill Switch is suitable for readers 18+. While it can be read as a stand-alone, all of the characters are developed throughout the series. The first two books, Corrupt and Hideaway, are now available through Kindle Unlimited!

Normally I write reviews for each book separately, but for this series, I have decided to write just one review for the whole series. This is not because I don’t think this series isn’t worth more reviews, because it surely is. It is actually one of my all-time favorite MM series. But it is also best to read it with as little spoilers as possible, and so I don’t want to ruin the experience for any reader, with my babbling. Just trust me when I say that it is absolutely awesome !!! Continue reading

Let me start out by saying that these books should not be read as a stand-alone. You need to start at the beginning or you might get confused. I also know that in order to read the third book in this series, Kill Switch, which is coming out on February 11th, you need to have read “Corrupt“. So in case you haven’t, go back now and get on with it 😉  Continue reading

This is my “go to” series for whenever I feel bad or need comfort, or when I am down deep in the “book-slump” pit from hell 😛  So I can honestly say that I read these books at least once a year…but often’s more. Misha and Max have both been hired to coach the Spitfires. Misha as a head coach and Max as an assistant coach. What they don’t know, however, is that they’ve been hired as part of a publicity stunt by the general manager, because of a freak accident that has happened 5 years ago.
