I am a huge S.E Harmon fangirl and I have read and loves many of her books, but out of all of those, Rainstorm and Danny will always be my favorite I think. 

What I love most about this series, is that there is a perfect blend between suspense, humor and romance, which makes for an awesome nailbiting read. There were moments I was laughing my ass off, because Rain must be one of the funniest characters I have ever met, and then there were moments I was on the edge of my seat holding my breath.

And let’s be honest here… this book has ghosts!! Do I need to say more??

I think the creepfactor goes up a bit with each book, which I am fine with. As long as there are also funny and loving parts, I am a happy little camper. 

By the way things ended, I am hoping there will be plenty more books. I am sure I could read 50 more books in this series and still be entertained by Rain, Danny and their entourage.

We shall hope and see…..

I fell deeply in love with Rainstorm when I read the first book about him and Daniel, P.S. I Spook You. It turned out to be a real favorite of mine. I mean hot detectives, paranormal activity, mystery/suspense, gay romance…what is not to love. 

I had no idea that there would a second book, which might be a good thing because I would have been anxiously waiting the whole time. Now it just came as a big pleasant surprise.

This one should not be read as a stand-alone though, so if you haven’t read the first book yet….off you go 😉 

Rain and Danny are finally back together..where they should be and they are solid. Much more solid than the ghosts surrounding Rain 😛 

Who are starting to be an issue really…the ghosts.  More and more seem to be seeking Rain out , and they don’t seem to care for boundaries much. Rain really wants to help them all out, and he has a nice crew helping him out, the PTU (Paranormal Tactical Unit), but not all is going as it should…

he is working “cold cases” as best as he can, while also trying to listen to all the ghosts wanting…no demanding his attention.

They also seem to be getting stronger and stronger and they have no issues invading his privacy and therefore intruding into his relationship.

He really needs to find a way to control his gift, but all guru’s around him seem to be nutjobs, so what now… 

I love this series so hard!! I can only hope there will be more and if not, that the author will come up with something just as good. I have high hopes !!

If you are a fan of the paranormal, mystery/suspense and some sweet man on man lovin’, then you should definitely give this series a go. You won’t be sorry!!

Highly recommended!!

I started this book completely confused. I didn’t know up from down and I had nu clue what the freck was going on !!!

Now, I did re-read Wolfsong and Ravensong right before I started this one (you should do it too) so that was not the reason for my confusion. You will get me when you start this one…I can only say, hang in there…things will clear up !! 

I can honestly say that out of the three books in this series that are out now…this one stressed me out the most. Poor Robbie and Kelly…the hits just kept on coming. TJ sure knows how to make my poor heart bleed !!!

Don’t worry too much though…this is TJ we are talking about and even though he loves to toy with our emotions…he also makes things right again…mostly

Now I am not gonna go into the plot and spoiler the story. So this is about all you’re getting from me. I can, however, tell you that I really loved seeing all my favorite characters again. Team “human” still cracks me up and they (again) managed to keep things light when the darkness threatened to take over. 

After reading Robbie and Kelly’s story, I am even more excited about Carter’s book. I really believe his story might become my favorite, though it will be hard topping Ox (<—see what I did there). 

As most of you know, TJ’s books aren’t really high on the steamy side of things, and with Kelly being asexual, the steam is even lower than in the previous books. That said…the intimacy between Robbie en Kelly is definitely sky-high 😉 

Highly recommended !!!

Wow, what a ride… I have been looking forward to reading this book ever since I first read the blurb. What can I say… I am all for a good “bully” YA story. They are like cupcakes to me… I want to gobble them all up. 

I knew even before opening this one, that I was in for an emotional rollercoaster and a world of angst. Of course, I was right…as ever…and I was alternating laughing, crying, swooning and cursing all throughout the story. I love it when a book can me feel so many different emotions !!

If you’re like me and you have a weakness for redeemable assholes…then you have hit the jackpot with Jace and Cole. I am still not sure, which of them I like most…they are both so bad

Not to mention their good pall Oakley, he was his own brand of awesome. 

Now, this is Jace’s story….or I should say, Dylan and Jace’s story. Yes, this story did remind me of “Bully” by Penelope Douglas, which is one of my all-time favorite books. That said…it was also very different. 

Dylan and Jace used to be the best of friends 4 years ago…but tragedy strikes in a big and awful way and pretty much everything changes after that. Dylan’s family takes her away and she doesn’t set food into her hometown until 4 years later. 

Even though her life has turned to shit in a major way, she is still looking forward to seeing her old best friend again. He is the only thing in her life right now she is looking forward too. 

But when she finally comes face to face with him and she sees nothing but hate staring back at her…she isn’t sure what the hell is going on. That look of hate is just the beginning though and Dylan can’t stop wondering what happened to the boy she loved…and still loves… But she will surely find out. 

Now I absolutely enjoyed reading this book, even though it gave me a bald spot from pulling my hair. There were times when I got a little bit annoyed with Dylan and she kept giving Jace the benefit of the doubt. He was more than cruel to her but she just couldn’t stop her feelings for him.

I had to remind myself that she was just 17/18 years old. And yes…the heart wants what it wants, but self-respect and self-worth are also very important I think. But like I said…I am (unfortunately) not 18 anymore…and I haven’t been for a long time

I really had an awesome time reading this book. I am part zombie today because of it. Once I started I had to finish it…and I am glad I did. Now I really want Cole’s story, because I just feel like he is gonna be my favorite out of all…

I am a huge (HUGE) fan of the “Dream Man” series and the “Rock Chick” series. I have read and loved every single book. And so when I found out that Lottie was finally gonna get her happily ever after…and with one of Hawk’s commando’s too…I was tickled pink !!

I also found out that a “Kristen Ashley Novella” is just as long as most of the novels I normally read. There was nothing “short” about this story. Though, I can always so with some more …especially when it comes to the “Rock Chicks”.

For those of you who don’t know Lottie, (have you been living under a rock??) she is Jet’s (Rock Chock Resue) sister. She works as a stripper/dancer at Smithies and seeing all the Rock Chicks getting paired off, has left her kind of lonely.

That’s not the worst of her problems though, because it seems she’s got the attention of a creepy stalker. Smithie, being the awesome boss that he is, is not taking any chances and since asking the “Hot Bunch” for help is out of the question….Commando’s it is 😛

As one of Hawk’s commando’s,  Mo is assigned as Lottie’s 24/7 shadow until they can catch this creepy creeper. 

There is just one little problem…The chemistry between these two is through the roof. The UST could be cut with a knife !!! But MO is insisting on staying professional. He can’t protect her if he get’s distracted.

So there is only one thing they can do. Make sure they find this creep as soon as possible…before they both combust !!

I absolutely loved this (not so) short story. It really gave me old KA vibes. It also made me go back and do a “Rock Chick” and “Dream Man” re-read….again. 

I love how Lottie finally got her own Dream man…she really deserved it !!! 

I can’t wait for the new spin-off series…hopefully time flies 😉

Beneath the Stain, by Amy Lane is one of my all-time favorite MM books. It made me laugh, it made me cry (a lot) and it made me swoon. It also had the perfect amount of angst for me. So it was in one word wonderful. Finding out that Cheever was getting his own book….was even more wonderful, because it meant I was getting a chance at revisiting all my favorite characters. 

Remember that spoiled little shit in Beneath the Stain ?? Well, he is all grown up now and he isn’t as spoiled as everyone thinks he is. Sure he has a whole bunch of stuff his brothers never had, but that doesn’t mean he is happy. He might not have financial problems but he is very much alone.

Growing up without all his brothers around to protect him, like they used to, isn’t easy. And having a famous brother who came out as being gay isn’t easy either….it gives people certain ideas…

Cheever never thought being gay was a problem…I mean he grew up around Grant and Mackey, and he has seen more things than they know. It isn’t until other people make problems, that Cheever realizes that being gay might not be okay…and if that is the case…does that mean that there is something wrong with him…

But with Mackey coming out first and things going to shit for him at school… He keeps falling deeper and deeper into the rabbit-hole. So Cheever just locks everything inside… where it can’t affect anyone else.

And when he gets the chance to leave his home town…he takes it in a flash.

Maybe he can be an awesome artist…make something of himself. Something that has nothing to do with any of his brothers…Something just him.

For nine long years, Cheever has kept his distance from his brothers. But when the future he was hoping for falls to pieces, so does he…in a spectacular and tragic way. Thankfully Blake is right there to pick up all his pieces and glue them back together again. 

But Blake had plenty of issues of his own…so the question is. How will two such screwed up people make this work? The answer, however, is quite simple… LOVE people !!!

I absolutely loved Cheever’s story, though I have to say that it had a ton of similarities with Beneath The Stain. Not that I minded since it is one of my favorites.

After reading and loving “The Trouble with You“ , I went back to check out more books by this author. I absolutely devoured this series after reading the first book. All the books are a wonderful mix of friendship, family, love, hate and teenage angst….just delicious

I really enjoyed every single book, though some I loved more than others, which goes for the characters as well. Now Summer, she has always been a favorite of mine. Just hanging out in the back, not causing any ruckus and trying to be sweet and caring with everyone. Her and her boyfriend Nick were doing awesome, and it seemed like they had everything planned out for the future…

That is until everything falls apart and when I say everything…I do mean everything. My heart broke for poor Summer… They say all bad shit comes in threes and in this case they were right…damn !!

But they also say that sunshine appears after the rain…and thankfully it did so for Summer. That’s not to say that all the bad things were suddenly solved…but it did help. Or should I say…he did help…a lot

This was definitely one of my favorite stories in this series, right along with book 1, which also blew me away. 

The angst slapped me in the face and I was alternating between crying and laughing throughout the whole story.

I can’t wait to read more by this amazing author. I don’t know if there will be more books in this series, but I do know I am anxiously awaiting “The Game You Play“.

I highly recommend this series !!

Oh, how I love this author and anything she writes !! I am a huge fan of shifters, vampires, and demons and so you can imagine my giddiness the day I discovered Suzanne Wright’s books. I have been a stalker fan, ever since.

Writing this review is a bit double for me. This is the 8th and last book in the “Phoenix Pack” series after all and I am not bored yet….not by a long shot. No matter how much I have wanted to read “Dominic’s book (ever since book 1) I am a bit sad now that I am done… I am not ready to say goodbye !! These people are all like family now …if my family consisted of big bad broody alpha wolves that is 😛 

Thankfully, Suzanne has stated at the end of this book, that we will be seeing all our favorites again. They will have cameos in the new and upcoming series `Olympus Pride`. And I also have “Shard of Frost” to look forward too and new books in the “Dark in You” series. So no time to be sad really !!

As I have said, I have been a bit in love with Dominic since meeting him in “Feral Sins”. I just knew that this incredible flirt would find an even more incredible mate 😉 But….not a true mate. I liked that…a lot. We have had all sorts of mates in this series and most of them were “true” ones, but I am thankful that Dominic’s story was different. They really made the decision to be together, without fate or whatever deciding for them. I mean Mila’s true mate was right under her nose and she could have fought for him if she wanted to…but she didn’t.

She didn’t want to be with someone who was in love with another, not even if they were technically “made for each other”. She chose for herself and her choice was Dominic…

This one was definitely another favorite of mine and I can’t wait to read Elliot’s story in Shard of Frost which is gonna be out about the same time this book is !!!

I highly recommend this series and all the others by this author !!
