I asked for his criteria for bed buddies-that’s the PG version.

He swore at me and said he didn’t do groupies. And just like that, our friendship was off to a great start.

Reese Forster was the starting point guard for the Seattle Thunder.

Gorgeous. Cocky. Loved by the nation.

He’s also attending preseason basketball training camp where I used to work.

Correction: where I work again, because I was fired from my last job.

And dumped.

And I might have a tiny bit of baggage, but that’s normal. Right?

Reese and I shouldn’t have become friends. We shouldn’t have become roommates.

And we really shouldn’t have started sleeping together … (Except we did.)

I’m adorably psychotic. He’s in the NBA.
This is not a disaster waiting to happen, at all.

Teardrop Shot is a 107k standalone with brand new characters.

I am definitely a Tijan fan and so, of course, I want to read every book she releases…I did not, however, expect to love this book so much, that from now on, Mason will have to share his number one spot. I absolutely adored Charlie and Reese !!!

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor adorable gif

From the moment I started reading, I was pulled in and I did an all-nighter so I could finish in one go. I loved it that much. Maybe it was the writing style…maybe it was the awesome characters or maybe it was the interesting storyline. It was probably all of those combined though 9f01372377900d9203bc4efe48eb1659

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor so much goodness gif

Now this book was pretty long, but for me…I could have done with even double the pages !!

Anyways, I love sports book, awesome heroes and quirky heroines, so I really hit the jackpot with this one 😉 I also love me some angst and emotion and I got that as well.

How would you feel when your whole world is crumbling, but then, when you think you are at your lowest…you meet your idol and he turns out to be everything and so much more !!!

I have to admit that I don’t know crap about basketball, but I would definitely go to every game to cheer Reese on !! That man was fine…in every way 😉

It took me some time to get used to Charlie though. The questions felt a bit weird in the beginning, but once Reese started answering, I was actually hoping she would ask him more.

These two were absolutely adorkable. This book was filled with heartache, laughter, steam, friendship and most of all…love !!

It shows that everyone deserves a second chance at love. It is definitely gonna end up on my “favorite MF reads of 2019” list.

I highly recommend it to everyone.

Excerpt:

He came out, all ready, saw me, and shook his head.

Giving him the biggest smile I could muster, I handed over his coffee and dangled my keys. “Let’s go.”

My neighbor was coming home from his night shift at a factory. He was trudging down the hallway when he saw us, lifted a hand in greeting, then stopped. His head shot upright and his shoulders stiffened.

He rotated swiftly on his heels, his eyes wide and bulging. He held up a hand. “Is that—”

“No.” Lying. Another superhero quality of mine. “It’s late, Bill. That’s my brother.”

Reese squashed a laugh and nodded to the guy. “What’s up.” It wasn’t a question, but a greeting, and he hustled me past my neighbor.

I gave Reese a look as we went to my underground parking spot. “He’s going to hammer me later. He’ll know he wasn’t seeing things.”

“He’s a fan?”

“The biggest.”

Reese smirked, meeting my gaze over the top of my car. “Bigger than you?”

We were entering cheesy territory here. We needed to scale it back.

“I have a cardboard cutout of you,” I told him. “In my closet.”

He froze. “You’re joking.”

I was, but now I had to buy one. “Wouldn’t you like to think that.” Settling into my chair, I felt better—more familiar terrain again. “But the funny thing is, next time you come, you won’t know if I was serious or if I bought him after I told you.”

Reese just rolled his eyes, putting the coffees in the cup holders for both of us.

He was looking around as I pulled out of the lot. “This is actually a nice place.”

“The underground parking is nice. The apartment building itself is okay. Nothing great.” I didn’t tell him how the lights in the laundry room would dim, so if I used those machines, I had to prop the door open with a rock. Or how I’d only do my clothes between seven in the morning and nine. Nine was the latest. After that, people were stirring, and there were a few neighbors I wasn’t so sure about.

Reese whistled as I pulled up to departures seven minutes later. “You weren’t kidding. That’s close.”

“And you’ve barely had your coffee.”

He yawned now, blinking a few times. “I’ll grab some inside. You can have it.”

I parked, but didn’t shut off the engine.

“Do not get out,” he warned.

I grinned. “Wasn’t planning on it. We really don’t need to go to that level, with the hugging, would we kiss or not… Too many strings, friend.”

He smiled back, but his eyes had started to smolder a bit. He leaned over, dropping his voice, “I’ll answer one of those questions.” His lips caught mine in a good, firm kiss, one that sent my senses spiraling and stole just the slightest bit of oxygen from my lungs.

I might’ve needed to gather my bearings as he pulled back and grabbed his bag from the back. Before he turned, he gave me a second kiss, this one lighter. “Go home. Go to bed,” he said as he reached for the door. “Text me when you park, and again when you’re inside your place. Humor me. I’m a friend. I can care.”

He was starting to leave, but I tugged on his shirt.

He paused, looking back.

“And after that?” I asked.

“We’re friends. Let’s play it by ear.”

Our gazes held, a shared reminder of the other details in our agreement. I saw his darkening, so I let go. “Okey-dokey. Hope you don’t get mauled.”

He laughed. “It’s too early for that.”

But we both knew the truth. It could happen.

As if reading my mind, he amended, “It’s usually not that bad. If it is—and I don’t think it will be—airport security is good with celebrities here. They’ve got a special room and everything. Plus…” He reached in his bag and pulled out a baseball hat, dragging it low over his eyes and flicking up his hood. “This is pretty incognito.”

His height wasn’t, but I decided to pick my battles. “I’ll expect twenty questions by the time you land.”

He laughed. “Don’t think so. I’m going to be sleeping that whole time, but I’ll text you updates just to annoy you.” He got out, but bent back down, his tone more serious. “Do me a favor? Only take that job if you want it. Don’t take it because you feel desperate. I can loan you money, if anything.”

That wiped all joking aside. “Reese.” Dammit. “I’ll never lose myself in a guy again. Ever.”

“Yeah, but before you didn’t have a friend who could loan you money until you got to a place where you could pick something that actually made you happy.” His eyes flashed a warning. “Now you do. Just think about it. It’s a loan. I’d give one to another friend in the same spot.”

I rolled my eyes.

He chuckled. “Drive safe. I liked screwing you. Let’s do it again and soon.”

“I changed my mind. Get mauled!”

I could hear his laugh as he shut the door and headed inside, his bag over his shoulder. Only a couple guys squinted at him, their heads cocked to the side. He was right. His incognito look really was incognito, but he was still frustrating.

And I was hoping for thesoontoo.

Driving back, my phone kept buzzing.

Reese: Checking in.

Reese: I had to check my bag. It’s too big for a carry-on.

Reese: Two autographs.

Reese: Going up the escalator now.

Reese: At the security line. The guards are cool. They promised not to be angry when Thunder beats the Coyotes.

Reese: Through security.

He knew I couldn’t answer. I was driving.

Reese: I’m at gate A6.

Reese: This is a nice airport. I always forget till I get here.

Reese: I upgraded to first class.

Reese: Coach wants to make sure I get back in time for meetings this morning.

Reese: Still not boarding. Just letting you know.

After parking, I grabbed my phone.

Me: It’s supposed to be questions. Like, if I asked security if I could put a body in my bag, could I still check it? Questions like that. You’re not following the rules.

Reese: Fuck the rules. These are my rules.

Reese: You do questions. I do updates. Deal with it.

Reese: Except now. Are you back at your place?

Me: Yes. Walking upstairs now.

Reese: No updates from you. Well. Yes. Tell me when you get in your place.

I turned down my hallway. Bill’s door opened and his head popped out. His hair was scruffed up like he’d been trying for a Mohawk. “No bullshit. Was that him?”

I was about to break a fellow Reese Forster fan’s heart. “It was my brother.”

He glared. “You’re not fucking with me?”

“No.”

“Oh.”

That was it.

His head went back in, and he slammed his door shut.

Immediately Mrs. Rings yelled from her apartment across the hall. “STOP SLAMMING THE DOORS! EVERYONE FUCKING SHUT IT!”

And her parrot a second later.

“STOP SLAMMING FUCKING SHUT IT!”

And then, “SHUT IT, BORIS!”

And her parrot again, “EVERYONE FUCK IT AND GO TO SLEEP!”

Let me start this review by saying that you will absolutely need to read the prequel novella, The Fallen: Genesis, before you can start this one. Now it’s pretty awesome, so it’s not like it will a chore. I myself really enjoyed it and it definitely left me with hundreds of questions and a craving for more…

intrigued gif - Google zoeken

So…those of you who have already met “The Fallen“, know who Raphael is. He is one of the 7 men in the brotherhood of murderers. He is the man with the face of an angel…but don’t let his good looks fool you 😛

An angel he is definitely not….especially since strangulation is what really get’s his blood pumping…Even cutting off the blood supply to his own finger gives this guy a hard-on.

Like all the others, Raphael has his own bloodthirsty fantasy…and his new mission has led him right to it…or I should say her.

Dorothy Wieck, 1933

Maria is everything he has ever wanted…to be with..and to kill

She is pure and innocent and the perfect bait for The Brethren to use against Raphael.  They know about his ultimate fantasies…they know what he dreams of.

Maria is was the exact opposite of Raphael….and yet…she was perfect for him. She was his Rose

She is just as broken as he is inside. I actually felt so sad for both of them.

“She would be the saint to his sinner. The light to his dark. The chastity to his lust”

How can he just pass up a chance to fulfill his utmost fantasy…he just can’t.

I was absolutely intrigued once again, by this book. That said, I do have to be honest and say that this series does bore some resemblance to the Hades Hangmen series. Not that I’m complaining about that fact, because I love that series.

That said, The Hades series is still my favorite so far, especially Ky 7e6c22cc4c29adb0f4a619d0806b71f1 …but who knows what will happen in the future. I am particularly curious about Michael’s story, so far he is my favorite and I have good feelings about him and his book 😉

EXCERPT

Father Murray’s eyes locked on the woman again as she was released from the metal cage and brought into her lover’s embrace. The man slammed his mouth against hers and thrust his fingers into her overused pussy. They were dressed in scandalous leather outfits that did little to conceal their bodies. Father Murray’s lip curled in disgust. The man pulled back and made for the bar. His slut’s cheeks were flushed, and her lips were swollen from the claiming kiss. She had red marks littering her body like the witch she was. Bruises and gashes from whips and chains and whatever else the male sinner had used on her flesh.

Flesh that belonged to the Lord, not her. Flesh that she was defiling, making a mockery of.

As Father Murray sipped on his water, he noticed the whore was walking to the bathrooms. His eyes tracked her across the room, then scanned the club for any sign that someone else would follow. But the heathens were too busy fornicating to notice or care. His heart kicked into a sprint; she was alone in the bathroom. He squeezed the bottle of water until it was crushed beneath his grasp.

Father Murray’s skin burned as he watched the door of the bathroom. His muscles tensed so tightly they felt as though they would snap. His eyes misted with red . . . and then he was moving. He let the Lord fill his senses and gave over control.

Do with me what you will. Use me as your vessel to destroy the evil walking this earth.

As quick as a shadow, Father Murray turned the knob of the bathroom door and walked inside. The whore stood in front of the mirror, wiping a cloth along her rancid pussy. She turned her eyes his way. What first seemed like shock at the interruption turned into heated interest.

“Can I help you?” Her voice was all seduction. The voice of the devil, Father Murray thought. A living temptation trying to sway me from the path.

It would only make her cleansing all the more powerful.

Father Murray licked his lips and pushed his jaw-length dark hair from his eyes. He saw the whore’s eyes flare. That was the reason he was picked for these missions. Father Quinn had told him God gave him his looks and body for this very reason. To ensnare impure sluts and send them to the depths of hell where they belonged and would dwell for eternity.

Silently, Father Murray turned, giving the slightest nudge of his head in instruction for her to follow. He didn’t look back, and the thumping music from the speakers in the club meant he couldn’t hear her high-heeled feet on the floor. But he knew she would follow. It was God’s will.

These missions were the Brethren’s very reason for existing.

Father Murray exited out of the back door and down the winding fire escape stairs. A metal door plunged him into the darkness of the alley outside. He stopped against the wall and waited. He smirked when the fire door opened and the slut walked through. He watched as her eyes squinted in the dark, searching for him. She smiled when she caught sight of his intense gaze fixed on her. “You like privacy, huh?” she asked, coming to stand before him. “Not into public displays?” She smiled. “You should try it. There’s nothing like all eyes on you as you come.”

The whore ran her long fingernail down Father Murray’s chest. Her touch did nothing to him. There was no stirring in his cock, no satisfaction from her attention. The bitch had no idea what turned him on.

She would soon.

She dropped her hands to the fly of his pants and undid his zipper. Her tongue snaked out and licked along her too-white teeth. The whore was a demon wrapped in attractive female flesh.

But she wouldn’t make this man of God sin.

Father Murray grabbed the top of the whore’s arms, spun her, and smacked her back against the wall. An innocent soul would feel fear, dislike of the rough contact. But not this slut. She smiled, enjoying the pain Father Murray’s aggressive grip brought.

Heathen. A heathen who deserves to die.

“Are you gonna fuck me or what?” she whispered in his ear. The whore lifted her hand and flipped her hair back over her shoulder, aiming for seductiveness. Father Murray knew the movement was a message from the Lord. An invitation to strike, to do his work of ridding the world of sinners.

Father Murray smiled; the whore smiled back. He didn’t bother to tuck his cock back into his pants. Instead, he ran his hands over her hell-created curves, listening to her moan. His fingers roved over her small waist and up over her large breasts. Finally, his hands rested on either side of her neck. Father Murray stared right into the whore’s eyes. Leaning in close, he whispered, “You are a blight on the world. You have no place on this earth . . . and I shall be the holy warrior to send you back to the second level of hell.” Her eyes only had a second to flare with fear before Father Murray began to squeeze. The whore’s mouth dropped open as she quickly became starved of breath.

Father Murray hadn’t been aroused by the whore’s touch. But now, with his hands ridding her of life, his dick was hard and throbbing with the need to release. He panted as the whore’s body began to fight back. But she was too weak; he was too strong. He pressed his wide chest against her tits and pushed her hard into the wall. The friction of her skin against his erection only heightened his excitement. Father Murray rocked against the front of her bare pussy, his hands tightening and tightening until the whore’s eyes began to bulge. She clawed at his chest. But the battle, the pain she was trying to inflict on his pure soul, only made his hold around her neck tighten.

When I saw the blurb for this book, I was immediately interested, and when I saw some of the early reviews from my friends on GR…I knew I had to read it as soon as possible! Of course, my lovely friends never lead me astray and so I have to admit that this book was absolutely awesome !!!

so much awesomeness gif - Google zoeken

The second I started to read, I was pulled into the story and I didn’t put the book down until I was finished. I have never read a book by this author before, but I can tell you I will be going through all of them now because I really liked the writing style… The fact that this book has all my favorite tropes, was a big plus as well 😉

tums up gif - Google zoeken

I also love books that take place in highschool or college….takes me back and makes me feel a bit young again9f01372377900d9203bc4efe48eb1659

Hailee is senior in high school and she can’t wait to finish this last year, and finally get away from Rixon and especially from Jase…Rixon’s very own QP and Hailee’s tormentor aka stepbrother. Now don’t go getting this wrong because this is NOT a stepsibling romance. These two really do hate each other’s guts and especially Jase takes his bullying to the extreme. But with Jase also comes his minions…Asher and Cameron.

two miniosn gif - Google zoeken

Cameron who once was almost Hailee’s friend, but who turned out to be just as bad as her stepbrother….or is he ???

I loved the whole enemies to lovers theme, but I also loved the friendships and the dynamics between all characters. So curious how everything is gonna turn out. Hailee and Cameron were definitely made for each other…I am actually a bit jealous of Cameron because Hailee is pretty awesome if I say so myself. Just how I like my heroines.

I loved this book so hard !! I am sure it is gonna end up on my “Top 10 Reads” list of 2019. That said, we will be getting more books so who knows how many are gonna end up on that list. I have a feeling Jase’s book is gonna be pretty interesting. I am a HUGE fan of redeemable assholes and he is the perfect specimen for that trope.

I can’t wait…I need MORE !! Right now, please !!!!!

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go through all this author’s books 😛

Highly recommended !!!

In the power struggle between two elite groups, one feisty girl will bring them to their knees…

Life is a cruel game where only the most ruthless survive. It’s a truth my mother rebelled against, and she paid for it with her life. Now, I play their game. Publicly accepting the destiny that lies in wait for me when I turn eighteen.

But, behind closed doors, I plot my escape.

Trent, Charlie, and my twin, Drew, rule the hallways of Rydeville High with arrogance and an iron fist. I execute my role perfectly, hating every second, but they never let me forget my place in this world.

Everyone obeys the rules. They have for generations. Because our families have always been in control.

Until Cam, Sawyer, and Jackson show up. Throwing their new money around. Challenging the status quo. Setting hearts racing with their gorgeous faces, hot bodies, and bad boy attitudes.

Battle lines are drawn. Sides are taken. And I’m trapped in the middle, because I made a mistake one fateful night when I gave my V-card to a stranger in a blatant F you to my fiancé.

I thought it was the one thing I owned. A precious memory to carry me through each dark day.

I couldn’t have been more wrong.

Because the stranger was Camden Marshall, leader of the new elite and my perpetual tormenter. He hates me with a passion unrivaled, and he won’t be the only one. Fire will rain down if the truth is revealed, threatening alliances, and the power struggle will turn vicious.

My life will hang in the balance.

When I started this book I couldn’t believe I was reading about 17 and 18-year-olds. The Rydeville High school is ruled by the Elite, which consists of Abby and her twin Drew, Trent, and Charlie. They are considered the rich and powerful. Now Abby may be part of the Elite, but she doesn’t have much say. She is expected to listen and act accordingly. Most of the Elite, are already arranged to be married. And Trent, the dude Abby is supposed to marry, he really tops the asshole cake !!

asshole alert gif - Google zoeken

Not wanting to give any of herself to her “fiancee”, she decides to give her innocence to a stranger…a savior of sorts. Someone she chose for herself…a moment she will always hold dear. There is not much else she can do though…she is stuck in the life she was born in.

She doesn’t know that everything she knows is about to change…and she will come face to face with her savior again… Will he still be her savior though.

I love high school settings, and when they have bullies in them…even better !! I was a bit confused when I started this one though. For a minute I thought they were all much older, but then I figured they were just that screwed up. I can’t imagine my parents just giving me away in marriage because of family business and status…

As much as Abby was stuck, she still tried to be as strong as she could be. I really admired her and I can’t wait to see what is gonna happen next.

Fair warning….we’ve got another cliffy right here !!!

Nothing would provoke my ex more than to see me moving on with the one guy he hates most, so that’s exactly what I plan to do.

The only hitch in my brilliant scheme is Wick himself. He’s just gotta be all love-not-war and peace-is-the-only-way. He’s more concerned about helping me heal than seeking my sweet revenge. And what the hell is it about his soothihg presence and yummy looks that calls to me until I forget how much pain I’m in? He’s making it awfully hard to use and abuse him for my malicious means. The damn guy is making me fall for him.

I really love Linda Kage’s Forbidden Men series and when I started this book, I had no idea that this was a spin-off of sorts. You see Haven is Sarah and Brandt’s daughter, and damn if that fact doesn’t make me giddy like a little girl !!!!

I loved Sarah and Brandt, they were awesome and I can honestly say that Haven definitely inherited their wonderful traits. She sure as hell is just as strong…well, Sarah might be a tad bit stronger 😛

But that is nothing compared to Wick’s traits. OMG, I loved that man the moment I set my eyes on him (in my mind..you should see him…he is so HOT). He was so deliciously funny, we should all be blessed with a man like that.

Now this book is long…but it didn’t feel long to me. Maybe that’s because I was so freaking happy to be back into the world of some of my favorite characters again. I wasn’t bored for a second. I just got pulled into the story from the very first page and there was nothing I could do but finish it. I like my books to be a bit on the longer side. That way I feel like I actually have a chance, to get to know the characters. There is also something about this author’s writing style that really does it for me.

I can only hope that there will be more books like this to follow. I would love for all the offspring to get their own book…

Now I think it’s re-read time again, because I really do miss my “Forbidden Men“.

“You guys are totally off your rockers. I am not having sex with anyone just to get back at Topher. To me, that’d be like drinking poison and expecting him to die from it.”
Bentley gasped, affronted, and pressed a hand to her chest. “Sex isn’t poison.”
I rolled my eyes because SHE hadn’t been cheated on recently.
“Seriously,” Teagan went on. “Sex can be good for you. It’s actually the number one reliever in vaginal atrophy.”
I blinked. “In…what?”
“Inflammation, dryness, and thinning of the vaginal walls.”
“Huh?” I furrowed my brow, wondering how I’d landed myself in a sex-education class.
“You must massage the tissue down there, exercise it regularly and get the blood flowing so it remains healthy and elastic. Otherwise, it’s going to dry out like an unused rubber band and crumble apart.” She balled her hand into a fist as if wadding up something. “Just a brittle piece of hopelessness.”
Ouch.
Why did I suddenly want to wince and protectively cover my hoo-ha with both of my hands? Seriously, I’d just found an old rubber band last week. It had dried up and fallen to pieces as soon as I had picked it up.
Lord, I didn’t want my vagina to crumble apart like that.
But then Bella—bless her soul—rolled her eyes and muttered, “Oh, whatever. She doesn’t need a man to get the blood flowing down there. My faithful BOB has kept me more satisfied and elasticized than any human douche ever could.”
Teagan merely shrugged. “It’s more fun with a real penis though. Just saying.”
“Wow,” Lucy murmured, shaking her head. “JB must have some kind of magical cock to make you talk this way because, before him, you were all like, eww, men are so overrated. Sex is gross. Keep it away from me.”
Lifting her chin, Teagan sniffed proudly and rubbed her swollen belly. “He does. It even sparkles in the sunlight.”
“Ack,” I cried, covering my ears with my hands. “It is so impossible to think of JB that way. He’s like a cousin to me, T.”
“You know, you don’t actually have to have sex with anyone,” Bentley spoke up, making me glance at her in confusion. “You just have to make Topher believe you did.”
“Or…” Bella countered. “As much of a showboat as Topher is, the best way to get back at him would be to just move on and be happy. I have a feeling him seeing you moving on without him might drive him crazier than anything.”

IN THE BEGINNING…

They told them they were evil.
They told them they were possessed by demons.
They told them that darkness ran in their veins.

Holy Innocents Home for Children is a haven for orphaned boys who have nothing and no one. The priests watch over them, educate them, raise them in the family of the church.

Except for some.

Seven of the orphans are no ordinary boys. They attract the attention of the priests for their acts of violence, of bloodlust. The priests realize these boys are drawn to the darkness.

And the priests are no ordinary priests. They are the Brethren, a secret sect who believe themselves on a divine mission to seek out evil in the boys in their care. Seek it out, and then drive it out.

The seven have fallen from God’s grace. And the Brethren will cleanse their blackened souls…

I am a HUGE fan of the “Hades Hangmen” series. No one can do “dark romance” the way that Tillie does it. Usually, I skip the short prequels in series, but I knew I HAD to read the introduction to what is bound to be Tillie’s new HIT series !!

gonna be awesome gif - Google zoeken

Now let me start off by saying, that there isn’t anything “romantic” about this novella. It is purely an introduction into the world of “The Fallen“.  Gabriel, Michael, Raphael Selaphiel, Barachiel, Jegudiel, and Uriel.

They told them they were evil.
They told them they were possessed by demons.
They told them that darkness ran in their veins.

darkness inside gif - Google zoeken

These boys aren’t anything like the regular orphan boys at Holy Innocents. There is a darkness within them, driving them to act in violence. They have been chosen and isolated because of their inner demons… being punished, again and again.

They have no one to stand up for them en to protect them against the real evil that is the Brethren. No one besides Gabriel that is, the purest of them all….and he turns out to be everything they needed…

sacrifice quote - Google zoeken

I advise everyone, who is planning to read this series, to start right here with this little story. It already explains a lot…yet leaves you with so many questions.

I myself have no idea what’s in store for us next. It could be anything. I do know that this is just the tip of the iceberg and the best is yet to come. After this little taste, I can’t wait to jump into “Raphael’s” book.

I need it right now, please !!!

Excerpt
Joseph watched helplessly as James moved from his place against the far wall toward a boy on a chair on the opposite side of the room. A boy who had slim knives embedded in his arms and legs—a human pin cushion.
Joseph shivered as he recalled his brother’s expression a moment ago as he’d sat and stared at the knives he had sliced into the boy’s flesh. James, the sadistic voyeur of his own work. Joseph’s nervous eyes landed on his brother’s target. The boy was bound with ropes, and a washcloth was stuffed into his mouth, silencing his cries.Luke.Fear flooded Joseph’s body. Luke, the boy who had been intent on bullying James since the age of eight. The boy who would spit at James’s feet when they walked by. The boy who call him weird, a goth, a psychopath who rarely spoke. His taunts were endless. Joseph didn’t think the verbal bullets had ever hit their target . . . until he’d found a pad of paper hidden underneath James’s bed. A pad of paper showing in graphic detail what James wanted to do to Luke.Tie him up.Cut his flesh.

Exsanguinate his body.

Then drink the blood down.

“They’re just fantasy, right?” Joseph asked James when he returned from detention. Joseph held up the drawings. Page after page of pain and despair and cruelty.

James walked slowly to Joseph and ran his hand down the open page of the pad, delicately running his fingertip over the pencil image of Luke’s slit throat. “It’s a promise,” James said, with no shame in his voice. “Each page is what will happen to Luke.” James finally met his older brother’s eyes. “I’m just waiting for the perfect time.”

From that day on Joseph made sure Luke never got too close to James, for fear of what his younger brother would do. Because Joseph believed every word his brother had said.

The truth was, Joseph knew that someday, if he wasn’t stopped, James would do something so terrible he wouldn’t be able to come back from it.

And Joseph had no idea how to cure James. He didn’t know how to heal his little brother of the wretchedness that had lodged itself into his soul. He prayed for a miracle he knew would never come.

Joseph’s heart pounded as James held up another knife. His brother’s torso was bare, the scars from his frequent self-mutilation clear to see, white roads of flesh mapping the veins that ran under his skin. Veins that carried the blood James so desperately craved; nightly, once safe in their room, he would slice them open and lick the falling drops as they ran in crimson rivulets down his arms.

Joseph thrashed on the bed, fighting the binds James must have placed him in while he slept. “James, listen to me,” Joseph said as he helplessly watched his brother slowly push his blade into Luke’s shoulder. Luke’s chair almost fell as he screamed into the washcloth, the fabric absorbing his cry. But James didn’t even flinch. Joseph’s stomach clenched when the blood started to pour from Luke’s shoulder as James carefully extracted the blade.

Eleven. That’s all James was. Eleven years old, yet thought only of blood . . . worse, even . . . thought only about the consumption of blood.

She is a good time—trouble, but fun. And I’m here for a good time, not a long time.
So let the good times roll.

“You’re a bad idea.”  “But…” she ventured.

“But I like bad ideas.”  We don’t make mistakes, right? Just happy little accidents. At least that’s what Bob Ross said. And my dad. Yep, he says that, too. Every year, on my birthday, he reminds me I’m a ‘happy little accident’ because the condom broke.

But, hey! Wasn’t the creation of penicillin a happy accident that resulted from the discovery of mold growing in an agar dish?
And while that accidental discovery changed the course of medicine, Lucy changed the course of my life. Like a staph infection that somehow turns into an abscess that takes over your limbs, Lucy took over my heart—quickly, painfully, unexpectedly, but treatable with antibiotics.

Bold and brash and unapologetically herself, Lucy represents anarchy from women I typically dated.
She is my ‘Beautiful Oops.’
Lucy Lawless is my good mistake.

I had a wonderful time reading the first two books on this series, The Slam and The Foreplay. I actually developed a bit of a crush on Adelaide….and yes on Ender as well 😛

This third book is about Edric, Ender’s brother and of course I had to read it and witness his HEA. I was also very curious to know if his book was gonna be as funny as his brother’s was. I am very glad to report that it most definitely was 😛 If you haven’t read the first two books…no worries because this one can be read as a stand-alone.

laughing my ass off gif - Google zoeken

Now as much as I laughed my ass off, there were also more serious moments in this book, so there is a bit of a balance. That said, I do believe this falls under the whole rom-com genre.

I myself am also a big fan of the “fake relationship” trope. Edric and Lucy start out as a fake couple but it doesn’t take too long before the lines between fake an real are blurring.

These two had some major chemistry going on which means there were also some very nice and sexy moments.

I knew Edric would be just as awesome as Ender…so now I am in love with both brothers… and their girlfriends 😛

Every little girl dreams of the fairytale. The one where the white knight rushes in to save her from the clutches of evil. They fall in love, have babies, and live happily ever after.

By that definition, my life should have been a fairytale too.

When I was eight years old, Caven Hunt saved me from the worst kind of evil to walk the Earth. It didn’t matter that I was a kid. I fell in love with him all the same.

But that was where my fairytale ended.

Years later, a one-night stand during the darkest time imaginable gave us a little girl. It was nothing compared to the pitch black that consumed me when I was forced to leave her with Caven for good.

At the end of every fairytale, the happily-ever-after is the one thing that remains consistent. It wasn’t going to be mine, but there hadn’t been a night that passed where I hadn’t prayed that it would be hers.

I owed Caven my life.

However, I owed that innocent child more.

And that included ripping the heart from my chest and facing her father again.

I have a confession to make… I have waited until the last moment to start reading this one. Reason being…a dreaded cliffhanger. I absolutely hate cliffhangers and normally I avoid them like the plague and wait until all the books are out to start reading. So…why did I sign up for this one ?? Well the answer is pretty simple… because Aly Martinez is one of my favorite authors and I knew I wanted …no needed to read this book !!

So here we are now and I have been left with the mother of all cliffhangers !!!

cliffhanger gif - Google zoeken

Thankfully this author seems to love her readers, because she is not making us wait too long, since the next book is already coming out next month…so fear not 😉

I also knew going into this one, that I was probably gonna be hit with a truckload of angst…and sure enough…I was crying within a couple of pages !!

so many feelz gif - Google zoeken

Thankfully, I was also laughing my ass off within no time, so the balance was restored swiftly 9f01372377900d9203bc4efe48eb1659

Now I can’t say too much about the story itself because that would be spoilering and everyone who is familiar with Aly Martinez’ work knows it would be a big shame to spoiler one of her books. So I am gonna keep this one very vague…sorry definitely not sorry 😉

not sorry at all gif - Google zoeken

As much as I hate cliffies, I am so glad I read this book. And I also have got to say…I didn’t even see the end coming. It really took me by surprise and I am still trying to figure out what the hell just happened !!

what the fuck gif - Google zoeken

I don’t mind being left in the dark for a little while though…It was definitely worth it and next month will be here before we know it.

I highly recommend this book and everything else this author has written 😉

Excerpt:

Life had never been easy for me. Chaos had been following me like a dark cloud, looming and hovering, casting its shadow far and wide despite how bright the path in front of me should have appeared. After growing up the way I had, where happiness had been more of a privilege than a choice, I knew better than to believe that that moment would be anything other than fleeting.

And one second later, the universe proved me right.

I opened the door to see who had rung the bell—a cursory check revealed an empty hallway.

And that’s when I heard it: the sound that changed not only my entire life in the present, but my life for all future days to come.

At first, it was just a grunt, but as if that baby could feel my gaze, the minute my eyes made contact, it let out a sharp cry.

Confusion hit me like a lightning bolt, sending me back a step. I used the door frame for balance as I took in the yellow blanket with a hole only big enough to reveal a pale-pink face.

“What the fuck?” I breathed. Glancing around the hall, I waited for someone to jump out and start laughing. When no one spoke up to issue a punchline, I took a step closer and repeated, “What the fuck?”

I was utterly unable to process the absurdity in front of me.

Of course, I knew the facts.

It was a baby.

On my doorstep.

Alone.

But the why in that equation was glaringly absent.

“Uhhh,” Ian drawled, peering over my shoulder. “Why is there a kid at your door?”

“I have no idea,” I replied, staring down at the squirming and now-screaming bundle. “It was just there when I opened the door.”

Ian shoved me to the side so he could stand beside me. “You’re shitting me, right?”

“Does it look like I’m shitting you?”

He looked from me to the baby, then back again. “How did it get there?”

We were two incredibly smart men who had created a technology empire out of nothing. But, clearly, a baby was too big for either of us to wrap our minds around.

I swept an arm out and pointed to the kid. “I have no clue, but I’m assuming it didn’t catch a cab.”

A light of understanding hit his eyes. He moved first, stepping over the crying baby and hurrying down the hall, searching around the corner near the elevator before returning alone.

The party continued behind me, but even with the door open, the loud chatter was no match for the ear-piecing cries happening in that hallway.

Veronica suddenly appeared beside me, her body going solid as she stammered out. “Is that…a baby?”

“Back up,” I urged, throwing my arm out to block her path as though the infant were going to suddenly morph into a rabid animal. And let’s be honest, I knew nothing about babies. Anything was possible.

Ian dropped to his knees, scooping up the wailing child. Meanwhile, I stood there like a gawking idiot, paralyzed by a weight I didn’t yet understand.

“Call the pol—” He stopped abruptly and reached into the top of the child’s blanket. “Oh shit,” he whispered, his wide, panic-filled eyes flashing to mine.

“What?” I asked, stepping toward him to get a better look at the kid. Only it wasn’t that tiny baby cradled in his arms that made my heart stop and bile rise in my throat.

There, in my best friend’s hand, was a folded piece of notebook paper that had been tucked into the child’s blanket. From the looks of it, the paper was unremarkable in every sense of the word. Blue lines, white spaces, hanging remnants from where it had been haphazardly ripped from a spiral bound notebook. Even the crease was crooked. But it was my name scrawled on the outside in messy, black ink that made it the most remarkable paper in existence.

I snatched it from his hand and, with blood roaring in my ears, opened it.

Caven,

I’m sorry. I never meant for this to happen. This is our daughter Keira. I’ll love her forever. Take care of her the way I can’t.

Written with regret,

Hadley

The hall began to spin, my head feeling like every ounce of blood had been drained from my body. The thundering in my ears faded and the loud chatter of my guests, who were suddenly aware that something was happening at the door, roared to life.

And then the chaos finally found me all over again—the past playing out in my head like my life flashing before my eyes.

I sucked in a deep breath and looked at the baby in his arms. The blanket had fallen off its head just enough to reveal a patch of fine hairs, more orange than its mother’s red.

“Call the police,” I declared, turning on a toe and walking back into my apartment, leaving Ian standing in the hall with Hadley’s child.

Shoving through the crowd of concerned onlookers, I headed straight to the bottles of liquor lining the counter. I didn’t bother with ice or even a glass. I threw back that bottle of vodka, hoping like hell the burn of the alcohol could numb the panic coursing through my veins.

Through it all, that baby never stopped crying.22

When I started this one, I had read some books (not all yet) in the “Eagle Elite” series, and so I was very curious about this new spin-off. It was said that this story was a complete stand alone, but I have got to be honest here and say that I was a bit confused when I started this one, as to who everyone was and what their “place” in the story was.

bit confused gif - Google zoeken

So I went back to the Eagle Elite series and did some more (re)reading…it did help. I still have some I need to read, but I have a bit of an idea which person is behind most the names now. I do think this story could be read as a stand-alone. but you won’t have all the knowledge about everyone. So my advice would be to actually read some of the “Eagle Elite” books. It makes it that much more enjoyable. At least, that’s how I felt.

my opinion gif - Google zoeken

Now for those who haven’t read the previous series and don’t feel like reading it first…no worries. The author does not leave us completely in the dark. At the beginning of the book, there is a list of names (a bit of a family tree) which shows us exactly who is who. So there you go 😉

I am a big fan of Mafia-type books. I think that’s because I really love me a big bad anti-hero and that is what most of them “Made Men” are 9f01372377900d9203bc4efe48eb1659

The previous series was all about the Italian Mafia, but this one…this one also brings us the Russian one… the Bratva

speech_marks_left_red (4)rBlood in. No out.

Compared to the first Mafia book I read by this author…this one is way darker. The series really evolved. What I loved most about it though, was that it wasn’t all darkness. There were also some nice laughs here and there and for me, that’s what really broke the tension.

Andrei is definitely the sort of (anti) hero that I love. Constantly battling his demons and fighting his way to freedom. Torture is his specialty.

torture gif - Google zoeken

Alice, captive 632, is part of the “De Lange” family, though I am sure she wished she wasn’t. Her past is pretty horrifying. Even though she has no reason whatsoever to trust anyone, especially not a man…she sees something “more” in Andrei. There is an instant sort of connection between the two.

This book kept me at the edge of my seat from the very start, and I really enjoyed reading it. I can’t wait to see what’s next, but first I am gonna finish every book I skipped in the “Eagle Elite” series.

So…I actually read books 2 and 3, before I started this one. I would, however, recommend starting with book 1, because it’s the events from this book, that will lead to the set-up of book 2. I am just a crazy person who likes to do things ass-backward. I had no problems with following the storyline of book 2 without reading this book first, but I will say that reading this one…gave me more insight into book 2 and 3. So learn from my mistakes 😛

rach15.gif (500×270)

Because I had already read “You loved me at my Weakest“, I knew what this book was gonna be about.. and I also went in…feeling a certain way. This did not help me enjoy it more…it actually pissed me off….so…yeah, really not a smart decision on my part.

After losing their parents, Lily and Shasha, who are Australian, decide to take a trip to America, New York to be specific. Their dream vacation soon turns into a nightmare of epic proportions, when they are kidnapped and thrown into the world of sex slavery. They are taken to Columbia where they are separated and locked away.

The reason these girls have been taken is because Marco, the mean kingpin of the story, likes to add beautiful women from all over the world, to his collection. The women in his collection live together at a secret location. Once a month (sometimes more) Marco organizes a private party, where the women are displayed and sold to the highest bidder for the night. The bidders can do with them as they please…well…without marking his prized possessions that is.

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor beautiful full girlLily is locked away in a beautiful room and assigned a personal guard…Jake. Jake lays it all out for her right away…there is no hope of escape and the more she will fight the harder things will be. He also makes it very clear to her, that if she doesn’t obey, her sister Sasha will pay the prize.

Sasha is not joining Marco’s collection. He has no use for her, so the plan is to auction her off as a sex-slave. Lily is really scared, but she is more scared for her sister than she is for herself. So she is willing to do whatever it takes to get her sister out of there.

tumblr_nqgclsA65B1tlqqoso1_500.gif (500×230)

I liked that Lily was a strong and feisty heroine, but I do have to say that there were moments she pissed me off. She kept being a hardass and disobeying….even when she knew chances where her sister would be hurt because of this. She just couldn’t stop running her mouth.

From the moment Jake laid eyes on Lily, he was done for. He is extremely attracted to Lily and he doesn’t want her in this awful hell.

But Jake has an agenda of his own and he can’t just let his feelings for Lily interfere with his own plans…plans he has been working on for years. So he does what he can, to keep her safe.

Lily feels the same attraction towards Jake, even though he is supposed to be one of the bad guys….she can’t help but fall for him.

Now this one was pretty heavy on the insta-love. Normally I can look past that, but being in the situation they were in….it felt a bit unbelievable. One moment she is taken away for a private party and being raped….and the next she is in love and having sex with Jake….one of the guys that is keeping her in this place…. ???

you-cant-be-serious-GIF.gif (500×242)

I had a bit of a hard time with that. I can’t imagine that a woman being raped a few days prior, would be excited about any form of sex so soon after, but hey…maybe that’s just me.

Slowly secrets are being revealed, and with secrets, I mean Jake’s secrets. He is on a mission of his own. He can’t help Lily escape, because he needs to find the secret location where “the collection” is being held.

Now Jake…I also had an issue with. Because for 4 years he has been working his ass off to complete this secret mission, that is very close to his heart. But after setting eyes on this one girl….everything changes and he is willing the to fuck everything up for her …??  Maybe this sounds a bit harsh from my part, but you will understand better once you figure out what his mission is really about.

BTVSJudgingYou.gif (300×274)

I will tell you that this book ends on a HEA…. if you can call it that, because this book is what leads to “You Loved me at My Weakest” (which is my favorite) and so many things are still messed up. So I will rephrase and say that it ends on a HEA for this couple. Which also made me pissed off with Jake, because when all is said and done….he takes his new found love Lily and leaves….without a backward glance…… I was really disappointed with him at this point.

Now don’t take my ranting the wrong way. I really did enjoy this book. It’s just that having read book 2…which I really loved…I was a bit prejudiced going into this one. This is why I advice reading these books in the right order 😉

I have read an enjoyed several books written by Chantal Fernandez in the past and I have got to admit that I was very curious about this spin-off. I had already read a little bit about Clover in Ace of Hearts, which made me even more curious about her story. Also…a MC Princess, who is also a cop…I just had to read about that.

I must gif - Google zoeken

Now as much as I enjoyed the story…and I did…there was just one thing, or I should say, one person, that bothered me throughout most of the book… Clover. For some reason, I did not feel any connection with her.  I felt she was acting a bit entitled. She wanted her cake and eat it too. She forced her friends to keep secrets from the club and she came off as very judgemental. She also acted as if she herself was the best thing since sliced bread, especially when it came to her job, while she was just a rookie. I also didn’t get how she thought that the police force would not know or care about her biker family….dense much !!

dense gif - Google zoeken

Since Clover’s mother also works for the FBI (informing or something) I didn’t get why Clover being a cop would be such a bad thing. I don’t get why and how she kept all of it a secret.

Now I did really like Felix. He’s her new partner and he really knows what he is doing, on and off the job 9f01372377900d9203bc4efe48eb1659 His father was killed by bikers and so he doesn’t carry around a lot of love when it comes to MC’s. That said, he does carry a lot of love for Clover and so he was willing to work through everything to be with her…

gay thouching gif - Google zoeken

I enjoyed the story and the suspense, but I have got to be honest and say that it was Felix and all the secondary characters that really made the book for me. I didn’t hate Clover but she definitely wasn’t my kind of heroine. She got better towards the end though 😉

Now I do have high hopes for Cara, she might be more of my liking. I also really liked Rhett so I am very curious to see what’s gonna happen with those two.

Take is the fifth book in the amazing “Deliver” series. Now let me start this review, by saying that this book can and should not be read as a stand-alone. If you want to really enjoy this series, you should go back and start reading with Deliver #1, and slowly…or fast…work your way down to this awesome read. Trust me…you won’t be sorry.

trust me gif - Google zoeken

This is definitely a dark romance series and each and every book has some major triggers… That also goes for this one. I am not gonna mention them all, but I did want to give you a little warning in case “dark” isn’t really your thing.

Those of you who have already started this series, already know Kate from the previous books. She has been through hell and back and now she is still struggling to move on. Too bad that hell doesn’t seem to be finished with her just yet and decides to screw with her once again…using Tiago Badell, to do so.

https://www.facebook.com/pamgodwinbooks/photos/a.469683773068519/2090357974334416/?type=3

I really don’t want to say anything that could possibly spoiler this book. It should be read blindly I think… So I am gonna keep my review short and simple.

Tiago has definitely become one of my favorite anti-heroes, though he still has to take a little bit of a back seat to Van Quiso….then again…I don’t think anyone will ever be able to top him in my book !! That said… Tiago was all sorts of hot, darkbroody and disturbed. Just how I like my men 😛

A nightmare in a designer suit

FOTO BEWERKEN - makkelijk online je foto's bewerken of aanpassen

Kate tries her very best to hate every part of his being…but it isn’t all that easy. Not everything is as black and white as she would like it to be. Could it be she is actually developing feelings for this monster…or is she suffering from a case of “Stockholm syndrome”.

One smile, and he could be mistaken as human, A hot-as-fuck human with the capacity to shift and melt things inside her.

This story really pushes against some boundaries, it definitely pushed some of mine…but I gobbled it all up, like the good little girl that I am fcc37b1805a49c13a3f7d3d50b64ed47

Kate really is my kind of heroine. She was so strong, but she also excepted her weaknesses…she was no push-over, but she knew not to push beyond the limits. I admired the fact, that even with everything she has been trough…she still had the ability to look further…to see beyond the outside.

She saw a heart worthy enough to take

I highly recommend this book and all the other in this series !!

LUCY
I’ve always held my own.
I’m determined.  I’m happy. I’m strong.
Not right now, though. Right now I’m weak.
Pathetic. Because I screwed up, I screwed up in a way I can’t fix. I destroyed someone. I stomped on a heart. I broke the one rule all women should live by. There is no coming back from it. Yet, I can’t seem to find the strength to stop. Nicolai. That name. It ruins me. I tried to stay away. I fought so hard.
I knew what he was. Who he was. I knew what he had done. But I can’t seem to stop.
I try and forget how his hands felt against my skin. How his lips felt on mine. How his body moved. God, his body. I’m a terrible person. A terrible sister.
But take me to hell, if you must, so long as he comes with me.

DAMON
Get a girl, they say. Find a woman, Damon. Settle down.
I have one thing to say to that. Women equal drama. You know it’s true.
I don’t have time for drama. Why can’t I be different? Why do I have to follow the trend?
My story doesn’t have to match theirs. Hell, when the time comes I’ll find the right one.
Until then, I’ll stick to friends. Yep. I can do friends. Lucy. She’s my friend. My best friend, if I’m being honest. She’s strong. She’s determined. She kind of holds my pieces together. And I hers. In the most non-romantic way I can think of. She has plenty of her own drama, she keeps us both busy. She’s like a sister. No, scratch that. Lucy, she’s the kind of woman who could run a country. Hold a family together. That’s the kind of person she is.
The lady of the house. Yep. That’s our Lucy. Knights Lady.

I like this author, I really enjoyed the MC SinnersThe Jokers’ Wrath MC, and the The MC Sinners Next Generation series. So when I saw this new series come by…I had to give it a try….Especially after reading the blurb for this one.

I have just finished and I can honestly say that I am utterly confused !!

what is going on gif - Google zoeken

This book definitely didn’t turn out the way I expected it would. Now I am all for books taking turns and screwing with my head a bit, but in this case… I was actually a bit upset. Reason being, that I was so distracted with how I thought things were gonna be…that I didn’t really get to enjoy the story.

I figured this was gonna be a love story about Lucy and Damon… At least that is what I figured from reading the blurb… I was even expecting a bit of a love triangle. It is not though… Lucy and Damon are just friends. She keeps calling them “besties“, but to be honest…I don’t think they are even that. I guess being friends with one of the “Knights” men, has earned her the title “Knights Lady“…though I still don’t see why.

I don't get it gif - Google zoeken

I think the blurb is a bit misleading and the same goes for the title if I am honest. I don’t think Lucy deserves the title of “Knights Lady“. Not really.

This is the love story about Lucy and Nicolai and besides Lucy complaining about her life to Damon Knight…it has nothing to do with the “Knights Brothers“.

Now all the above doesn’t mean that this wasn’t a good story…It just wasn’t what I was expecting and it took me reaching the 80% mark to finally realize that Damon and Lucy were not gonna happen….Very distracting

I think Lucy and Nicolai would have been an awesome match if it wasn’t for the fact that he is her sister’s ex and her nephew’s father. It is actually one of my pet peeves… I am best friends with my sister, I would never ever want to be with one of her exes…it’s an unwritten rule, I am sure.

obey the rules gif - Google zoeken

This is a personal preference though… Even I have to admit that Nicolai and Lucy were pretty HOT together and they did seem to really love one another, despite all the obstacles they had to face.

I still think this blurb doesn’t fit the story and I would have given it more stars had I known the direction of the story before I started it.

When I signed up for this one, I had absolutely no idea it was gonna end in a cliffhanger. Because if there is one thing I cannot stand…It’s cliffy’s. They annoy the hell out of me and test every single ounce of my patience. So imagine my surprise when I found out …

Afbeeldingsresultaat voor cliffhanger gif

Now I may hate cliffhangers but thankfully I didn’t feel the same way about this book. It was actually pretty great !! I might even forgive that cliffy….maybe.

Now I have another confession to make. I am not familiar with the Bad Habit series (please don’t throw fruit at me)… I did, however, know Connor and Tabby from the Wicked Games series, and I still love them just as much as I did when I read their book. It was great catching up with them.

This book was a lot of fun. Naz is on an undercover assignment keeping an eye on Eva. he was never supposed to get close…but what can you do, shit happens 9f01372377900d9203bc4efe48eb1659The back and forth banter between these two was awesome. Eva is definitely my kind of heroine !!

I can’t wait to read the next book in this series… let’s hope time flies !!!

I’m gonna be honest here and say that I am a bit over the whole “virgin” trope. If I never have to read about another virgin again…that would be fine by me. That said, I am a fan of Rachel van Dyken’s work and so I really don’t want to miss out on the books she writes, so I figured I just had to trust her and give this one a go 😉

And I am so glad I did because Mack was pretty awesome !!

MacKenzie is the 30-year-old heiress of a wine empire. She is a sommelier (wine taster) at her father’s company. She has also just been left at the altar…by her best friend Alton. The friend she grew up with, the one who was always by her side and who was supposed to run this wine-empire with her in the future…

scorned bride gif - Google zoeken

She tries to resume her life but having to look at her ex-fiancee…(who already showing off his new girlfriend) is just a bit too much. So she decides to go on the honeymoon she bought for the two of them alone… She could use a bit of a time-out…an adventure 😉 She wasn’t prepared for an engine malfunction though… And while the airplane’s engine has exploded, so does Mack’s heart when she kisses the handsome man sitting next to her…

kiss on airplane gif - Google zoeken

Slade Rodriguez is a pretty famous soccer player looking for his own time out. Life has thrown him a few curve balls, and he needed to get away from it all. He wasn’t expecting the beauty sitting next to him…kissing him…while the airplane rocks it’s way down…

Being in the same resort, and on the same floor even, they decide to take their chemistry a step further.

sexy kissing gif - Google zoeken

But tragedy strikes a few hours later and when Mack wakes up…there is no sign anywhere from Slade…

Having no place to go, she decides to go and work for her aunt for a couple of months, so she won’t be confronted with her jerkface ex again… since her father refuses to fire him. She didn’t expect to come face to face with a different kind of jerk though..

hey assbutt gif - Google zoeken

I absolutely loved this book. The back and forth banter was amazing and I laughed my ass off !! Mack was no weak and wilting heroine by any means. She was so strong and sweet and funny. I am glad I put my prejudice about the whole “virgin” thing aside.

It took me a bit longer to warm up to Slade, but he worked hard for it so I have to give him my stamp of approval as well 😉

approved stamp gif - Google zoeken

The side characters were pretty awesome, and I really fell head over heels in love with Matt… He’s definitely my kind of guy and I hope he will get his own story soon.

That’s not to say I won’t be looking forward to Jagger’s book, because he was great as well… Can’t love em all the same though 😛

I highly recommend this series !!
